Abraham Nouk came to Australia as a Sudanese refugee. He was unable to read,write or speak English. Now he is an award-winning spoken-word artist and poet.
This short documentary was shot during the 2013 Australian Poetry Slam at the State Library of Victoria, where Nouk was a finalist. It has since been featured in festivals around the world, or won the best short film award at the 2014 Tasmanian BOFA film festival and is being released online.
