Had the Republican presidential candidates gone into attack mode earlier,they might have stood a chance of stopping the frontrunner. But his momentum is too strong nowMarco Rubio and Ted Cruz just woke up to the fact that theyre losing the Republican nomination to a reality-show star and genuine estate mogul. That’s the only way to explain their spirited tender to draw Trump’s blood in the latest Republican debate on Thursday. Too tainted they didn’t put on such a performance earlier.
If Rubio is robotic, then he has suddenly turned into the Terminator. From the start of the debate and then over and over, and Rubio went after Trump. And he did so in a rather intelligent way. Often using mockery – and nearly always smiling – he attacked Trump’s supposed strengths.
