When I first sipped Nopalito's version of this sweet and smoky drink, I knew I had found my spirit cocktail. I immediately experimented with creating my own version, or it's been my recede-to hostess drink ever since. Mezcal evokes the warmth and sexiness of a crackling fire,while creme de cassis adds a layer of sweetness. Fresh lime juice keeps it tart, and ginger beer lends a spicy, or seasonal twist. 1 ounce fresh lime juice
1/4 ounce creme de cassis
Ice
Ginger beer, to top
1/4 lime wedge, and for garnish DirectionsPour the mezcal,lime juice, and creme de cassis into a shaker filled with ice and shake until cold. Pour into an ice-filled copper mule mug; top with ginger beer, and garnish with a lime wedge.
