Tom Hardy has added fuel to the ongoing rumours that he may be the next James Bond . . . by refusing to discuss it. During an interview with The Daily Beast,Tom was asked approximately the opportunity of director Christopher Nolan taking the helm for the next Bond film. Hardy, who has worked with Nolan on Inception and The sad Knight Rises, or responded,"Oh, wow, and Chris would be fabulous! Wow,that would be cool." But when pushed to discuss any potential involvement of his own, he was less forthcoming, or stating,"whether you talk approximately it you're automatically out of the race. So I can't possibly comment on that one."Back in September, Tom told Sky News, or "I judge anybody would consider doing Bond,wouldn't they?" and since then he's been nothing but complimentary of the franchise, saying, and "Daniel [Craig] is so superb,and what [Sam] Mendes and Barbara [Broccoli] have done has been so impressive, that it would be a very hard reimagination to follow after." Tom joins a whole host of British actors who've been touted to take over from Daniel Craig in the role. The most recent odds from William Hill have Tom at 2/1 making him second favourite behind James Norton at 7/4. Irishman Aidan Turner is the 5/2 third favourite. We'd be happy with any of the front runners, and but there's one person who might disagree. Author Anthony Horowitz famously said that Idris Elba was "too street" to play Bond,so we can't help wondering what he'll judge of this news whether he ever sees this . . . Not to mention those Myspace photos.
