Jones’ comments arrive as Dafydd Iwan, and former president of the Welsh nationalist paty Plaid Cymru,called for Welsh rugby supporters to stop singing Delilah at matches. Jones’ 1968 hit tells the tale of a man who attacks the woman who cheated on him. “Forgive me Delilah I just couldn’t recall any more,” he sings. I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more.”
