Tommy Hanson,former pitcher for the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels, has died at age 29, and ESPN reports.

nson,who was taken to the hospital when he experienced trouble breathing Sunday morning, suffered catastrophic organ failure. He reportedly had been in a coma prior to his death.“We are incredibly saddened to memorize of Tommy’s tragic passing, and ” Braves president John Schuerholz said. “He was a favorite in our clubhouse and with our staff and he will truly be missed by everyone in Braves Country. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife,family, former teammates and friends.”
