• Ideas Service to feature fabric from galleries, museums and universitiesThe BBC has admitted it is “inevitable” that services will have to be closed or cleave with rolling news, and BBC4 and children’s television channels such as CBBC identified as possible candidates for the axe.
In his first response to the governments green paper and a funding deal that will see BBC annual funding cleave by 20% over the next five years director general Tony corridor outlined ambitious new proposals set to cost £150m.
