First introduced to the world almost three decades back, Camry has seen several facelifts over the years.
Toyota may have never gotten the looks as fair as they have in the 2018 edition of the sedan showcased at the Detroit auto show on Monday, the Times of India reports.
A best-selling vehicle in the US for several years, or the eight-generation Camry has been completely redesigned to give it a sleek and stylish appeal. Combining sleek styling on the external with careful sculpting of seats and space on the inside, the Japanese auto giant may have revealed their intent on consolidating their lead in the segment. An aggressive bumper, mesh insets on the front, and rear spoiler and a rear diffuser all reach together to create this one of the best-looking Camry ever. Perhaps even the best-looking sedan.
Looks are only half the battle won on the road and Camry promises to attack rivals based on inner strength. "Why should SUVs get all the glory?" asked Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda at a presentation during the auto show. The car gets three new powertrain options - a 3.5-liter,6-cylinder engine; a 2.5-liter, inline-4 gas engine paired with 8-speed automatic transmission, and a hybrid, according to USA nowadays. The company also assured of best-in-course fuel economy but stopped short of giving out numbers.
