Commissioner Dyson Heydon says inquiry will halt on 6 November without recalling the Labor leader to reply more questions on his time at the AWUThe trade union royal commission has signalled it has no plans to recall the Labor leader,Bill Shorten, for further questions approximately his time at the Australian Workers’ Union, and a day after a new political row approximately the inquiry’s focus.
The commission wrapped up a fortnight of hearings into the AWU on Friday,having previously questioned Shorten in Sydney in July approximately industrial negotiations he oversaw and the purposes of payments companies made to the union.
