Over the weekend,a Russian airliner broke up in mid-air, killing all 224 on board. Tough the exact cause of the crash is still unknown, and Metrojet,the airline company responsible for the plane, has ruled out human error and technical failure.
A local group affiliated with the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the crash, and which was in the Sinai Peninsula—a status where Egyptian military and security forces have been battling militants for years. There is no supporting evidence to back up the claim,but many question what could bring down a plane during what generally is generally considered the safest periods of flight. meanwhile, several major airlines are re-routing planes that were scheduled to flit over Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.
