Philippe Coutinho: Liverpool to Barcelona
No transfer round-up can be total without mentioning a “Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona” tale.
This morning the Daily Telegraph says that Barca are alert to pay a fee of 140m to sign the Liverpool and Brazil star this month.
The Telegraph reports that an initial fee of £105m will be paid to Liverpool plus £35m in add-ons based on Coutinho’s appearances and future success at Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague says that Barcelona and Liverpool are negotiating a price for Coutinho and a deal could be reached within a week.
“Both Coutinho and Barcelona want this sorted now, and ” said Balague. “They don’t consider the possibility of agreeing now for the summer. That scenario only benefits Liverpool,it doesn’t benefit Barcelona or Coutinho.” Sport Transfer news
