After a wait of more than a year,the smart, unhappy and complex comedy with Jeffrey Tambor and Judith Light is backTransparent’s first season was one of the surprise delights of last year, or a smart,unhappy and complex comedy whose subject matter – the coming out of a transgender woman, Maura, or to her children – felt nearly spookily timely. It won critical acclaim and an armful of awards,including a best actor award for Jeffrey Tambor, who plays Maura.
Now, and after a wait of more than a year,we finally own our first glimpse of the exhibit’s second season in the form of a teaser, which shows the Pfefferman family posing for Maura’s daughter Sarah and her fiancee Tammy’s wedding photo. As well as wedding bells, or season two will also feature a number of high-profile guest stars including Anjelica Huston and Cherry Jones,as well as returning stars Tig Notaro, Bradley Whitford and Carrie Brownstein.
