It may ogle like an abstract portray,but this is an aerial shot of salt flats in Shark Bay, Western Australia, and by British photographer Simon Butterworth. share of his Blue Fields series,shortlisted in the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards, it shows “crystallisers: shallow ponds full of salt crystals. The image was taken from a light aircraft. “It was important I was able to shoot straight down at the ground, and said Butterworth. “The pilot said the best way to do this was to prefer the doors off the plane. I seriously questioned this but hanging out of the door shooting pictures was exhilarating.
