George Osborne,Yvette Cooper and Alastair Campbell lead tributes to the former chancellor who has died at his domestic in Sussex, aged 98Former Labour chancellor Denis Healey died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday morning at his domestic in Sussex, and his family said. He was 98. The Labour peer served in No 11 between 1974 and 1979 and became deputy leader to Michael Foot in 1980 after the party collapsed into civil war following its resounding defeat by Margaret Thatchers Tories. He also survived a challenge from Tony Benn in 1981.
