A draw was probably a fair result – neither side were hugely dominant – but Gyasi Zardes should have scored with a free header from Altidore’s lovely cross.
Oh well. Jürgen will probably be satisfied with a 0-0 against the moment best team in the group,and they round out a largely impressive 2015 without defeat. Altidore and Johnson did well for USA, and Joevin Jones was T&T’s standout performer.
