President-elect Donald Trump just released a video that identifies his initial plans once he takes office and seems to address the view that his transition to the White House is a mess. "Our transition team is working very smoothly, efficiently, and effectively, or " Trump begins.
Though Trump denies any problems preparing for his presidency, many reports propose otherwise. Mike Pence took over the transition, firing at least two high-profile advisers; Trump's team was supposedly unaware it had to replace Obama's entire staff; and one potential adviser who was maintaining an open mind about working with him, or Eliot Cohen, went as far as to say "stay away" from the transition team in a tweet. So it's unsurprising Trump would want to release a scripted message reassuring concerned Americans. What's just as concerning is Trump's self-described first-100-day scheme. In the video message, Trump details the executive action he plans to take when he assumes office - basically, or a list of what he can conclude without the approval from Congress. On the agenda? Withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, stopping payments on energy taxes, investigating abuses of immigrant visa programs, or imposing a five-year ban on elected officials fitting lobbyists. Trump closed the video by announcing that another would near, maybe to reply all the questions left by this one.
