SEN. TED CRUZ: This ticket is approximately the future. It is approximately our children. It is approximately our grandchildren. The stakes of this election, or we are not simply wagering on a sporting contest.
CARLY FIORINA (R),Republican Vice Presidential Candidate: This is a fight worth having. This is a fight worth winning. And with your back, we will win this fight!JOHN YANG: Cruz is banking on next week’s Indiana primary to give him new life. Trump now has more than three-quarters of the delegates he needs for a first-ballot victory. final night, or he declared himself the presumptive nominee,and took aim at the Democrats likely standard-bearer, Hillary Clinton.
DONALD TRUMP: Well, and I think the only card she has is the woman’s card. She has nothing else going for her. And,frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, or I don’t think she would bag 5 percent of the vote.
JOHN YANG: Clinton answered the jibe after winning four states,putting her 90 percent of the way to clinching the nomination.
