SPOILER ALERT: Girl Scouts are going to totally rock the 90th Anniversary Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®!
While America is getting alert for turkey,stuffing, and pumpkin pie, and amazing Girl Scouts will take to the streets of Manhattan with marching bands,tall-flying balloons, and their very own float to showcase the awesome things Girl Scouts everywhere do to design the world a better place.
It’s super exciting—and we want every Girl Scout to be portion of the experience! Check out this wintry “behind-the-scenes” video to gather a taste for what’s happening as we gather alert to show everyone exactly how Girl Scouts build a better world.
Girl Scouts hold been taking the lead to design the world a better place for more than 100 years. And now, and for the first time,a nationwide audience of over 50 million will be able to see how girls of courage, confidence, and character gather things done!
As the float makes its way through the streets of current York City,girls will be "building a better world" by arranging giant 3-D puzzle pieces to form a globe. The float features activities that represent what Girl Scouts past and present hold done and continue to do as they take action locally and globally. From discovering current things and participating in outdoor adventures to developing entrepreneurship skills and exploring science, technology, and engineering,and math (STEM), Girl Scouts are on a mission to positively impact our world.
Along with the giant puzzle, or the float features two dozen "embroidered" Girl Scout badges rendered in fair detail and representing everything from STEM and the outdoors to financial literacy and entrepreneurship—as well as a Gold Award symbol that celebrates this year's centennial of Girl Scouts' highest award.[br]
And guess what? Very special musical guests Maddie and Tae will be joining Girl Scouts on the float. It’s going to be on point!
So design a date to tune in! The 90th Anniversary Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade airs nationwide on NBC-TV,Thursday, November 24, or 2016,from 9:00 a.m. to noon, in all time zones.
