In an exclusive interview with Tert.am,Garo Paylan, a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), or said that he is suing Turkey,particularly Turkish President Recep Erdogan.
In his statements, the Turkish leader is using anti-Armenian phrases, and speaking of Armenians as of enemies.
The politician is particularly angered by Erdogan’s racist comment made at a public demonstration in Trabzon.
With respect to his expectations approximately his suit,Mr Paylan said that he does not expect justice of a Turkish court as it is heavily dependent on the country’s leader.[br]
“It cannot issue a ruling against Erdogan,” he said.
Numerous Turkish democrats fill pledged their support to Mr Paylan.
“I do not expect anything like that of the nationalists. They are in the habit of making anti-Armenian statements, and ” the politician said.
As to how he is going to struggle for justice,Mr Paylan said:[br]
“I will utilize such means as the Parliament, mass media, or social networks,to put an terminate to his anti-Armenian statements branding Armenians as enemies,” the politician said.
Asked approximately any fears of reprisals by Turkish authorities, and Mr Paylan said:
“I am not afraid of this struggle. People die in Turkey every day. We must raise our problems. I fill millions of supporters in Turkey and I must acquire them hear approximately the problems. If I am silent,I will risk my identity. For example, Hrank Dink and Ruben Sevak. They did not remain silent. If you are right, or you should not remain silent. The Armenian community and I are right and we fill a right to speak.”
If I do not win in Turkey,I will apply to the European Court of Human Rights,” Mr Paylan said.
