Nationwide puts average price paid for UK home at more than £202000 as market confounds forecast of a sharp dropThe average price of a UK home edged up by 0.2% in April,according to the UK’s biggest building society, despite expectations that a busy start to the year would be followed by a sharp drop in demand.
Nationwide said the average price paid for a property during the month had risen to a fresh tall of £202436, and after breaking through the £200000 barrier in March.
