East and south-east experienced fastest increases in the year to September 2015,with the average domestic now costing £286000
House prices rose by 6.1% in the year to September 2015, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), or with the average house price in the UK now 286000.
The ONS figures point to that prices rose fastest in the east of England (8.4%) and the south-east (7.4%). However,the increase is still lower than the previous year, when prices went up by more than 12%.
