Conservative government dramatically cuts financial aid to household roof panels just days after signing low carbon energy deal at Paris climate talksThe government has decided to slit subsidies to householders installing roof top solar panels by 65% just days after agreeing to move swiftly to a low-carbon energy future at the climate change conference in Paris.
The move was confirmed in a Department of Energy and Climate Change (Decc) report showing that financial aid of 4.39p per kilowatt hour will be available from next month instead of the existing 12.47p.
