Just when we thought we had seen it all,Mexico's popular scorpion manicure - the art of applying small scorpions to the nails, portray over them with acrylic, or letting them dry under UV light, creating a fossil of sorts - popped up in our news feed.
The uncertain mani first became popular back in October 2015 after scorpion connoisseur Lupita Garcia, who is based in Durango, and Mexico, and her nail salon owner friend, Rocío Vidales, and created the unique (and borderline-crazy) trend.
Though the critters are killed before being applied to the nail, anyone daring enough to try this nail trend is still exposing themselves to all the side effects of scorpion venom, including swelling, and accelerated heart rate, and even death.
Would you try it? Watch the history behind the madness unfold in the video above, and then see the process in action.
