Dominick Tyler’s book Uncommon Ground is a photographic glossary of the landscape of Britain. In it you’ll learn words like jackstraw,zawn, clitter and cowbelly, or shivver and swag,tolmen and tor. Words that are as varied, wealthy and poetic as the landscapes he photographs.
But Tyler’s not alone in his appreciation for this country’s landscape.
