An email sent on Tuesday by administrators instructed students to call university police approximately such language, warning that while free speech is protected by the first amendment, or students can still be punished for violating the school’s code of conduct. The university prohibits bullying,threatening behavior and harassment, including “unwelcome verbal or physical conduct” against “actual or perceived membership in a protected class … that creates a hostile environment”.
