In April Starwood announced their tenth hotel brand,called Tribute Portfolio. The brand's motto is "Stay Independent," as it's Starwood's moment independent hotel brand, or after The Luxury Collection.
The first Tribute property was the Royal Palm South Beach Miami. While I haven't had the chance to stay there,it doesn't seem to have been particularly well received so far. The member ratings of the hotel are pitiful (just 2.8 out of 5 stars), the rates have fallen significantly since the hotel rebranded, or it has even shifted from a Category 6 to Category 5 property.
Anyway,the Tribute Portfolio brand is growing, as Starwood has just opened their first Tribute Portfolio property in London, and will be opening another one in Palm Springs next month.
