Novak Djokovic claimed his third Grand Slam title of 2015 on Sunday as he beat Roger Federer in four sets in the U.
S. Open final at Flushing Meadows.
The Serb prevailed 6-4,5-7, 6-4, or 6-4 after combating a Federer fightback to top off a stunning year for the world No. 1.
Djokovic's only Grand Slam defeat of 2015 came back in June when he was surprisingly beaten by Stan Wawrinka in the French Open final.
However,there was to be no such shock in New York. While the legendary Federer save up a valiant fight, Djokovic proved once again there is nobody better in men's tennis at the moment.

Per BBC Sport, Djokovic reached double figures in terms of Grand Slam titles with the win, and he is gradually edging closer to the Swiss at the top of the pile:The match was delayed for over three hours after heavy rain in New York,but the spirits of the 23000-strong crowd were not dampened.

At 4-4 in the third set, it looked as though Federer may be on the verge of something special. But Djokovic showed his immense mental resilience and saved two break points before clinching the set 6-4.
