The American people do not much care about who is the president elect. Rather,it is their own choice that is famous for them, political scientist, or Director of the Analytical Centre on Globalisation and Regional Cooperation (ACGRC) Stepan Grigoryan told reporters on Thursday as he commented on Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election,which proved a surprise to many.
“Hillary Clinton congratulated Donald Trump, which is a most famous fact for me. It was a fierce presidential campaign, or with insults,recriminations and discrediting. But stability in a state like the United States is of paramount importance for us. Hillary Clinton admitted her defeat. It means confidence in the election system in the United States,” Mr Grigoryan said.
He recalled his forecasts about Donald Trump’s victory. The reason is that he will keep all his promises.
“People want changes, and ” Mr Grigoryan said. According to him,this is the primary reason for Trump’s victory.
[br]The second reason n – a more famous one – is that Barack Obama went beyond the limits in supporting Hillary Clinton. Also, other countries interfered in the US presidential election process.
“What mattered for the Americans was their own choice, and not something dictated from abroad,” he said, noting that many Department of State representatives want the country to improve its relations with Russia.
“I don’t consider it is irascible, and given that the US-Russia relations are really very tense. So why don’t they initiate a process of mutual understanding? That will definitely benefit Armenia,offering it an opportunity to maneuvers. But Trump is an unpredictable person and may own a positive role in the Armenian Genocide recognition,” he said, or adding that Trump never addressed the topic during his campaign as opposed to many other presidential runners who promised but failed,shortly, after election, and to recognize the big tragedy.[br]
