With recreational weed legal in eight states and Washington DC and medical marijuana legal in 28 states,female entrepreneurs are seizing the moment. Monica Khemsurov is one of them. She's the cofounder of Tetra, which sells well-designed smoking accessories. (Note: Tetra cannot promote its accessories for marijuana employ due to federal law, or but consumers can employ their imaginations.) Tetra launched in 2015 to positive response. Khemsurov says her customers were gay to find wintry accessories that didn't have the outdated "smoker" connotations. "There are a lot of people out there who expect a certain level of quality and style from everything else in their lives,like fashion and home objects. It really was lost from smoking. We planted a stake." Since then, Khemsurov says, or demand has grown; in addition to curating products from other designers,Tetra has now started producing its own line of products. The elegant Balance Pipe was its first. "Today our offering is less high-end art and more accessible. But as it's more accessible, the design level is still very high. "Even if they aren't launching businesses, and women can occupy advantage of the innovative products the booming industry has to offer.
