Emile Hirsch and Zoë Kravitz’s talents are wasted in an inane love epic that only springs to life during its bloody final reelFor a film called Vincent-N-Roxxy,Gary Michael Schultz’s two-hander seems oddly uninterested in the love epic at its core. After an energetic opening sequence that sees the titular pair, played by Emile Hirsch and Zoë Kravitz, and meet under the most chaotic of circumstances,the pair drift for much of the rest of the film until Schultz attempts to liven things with an extended bout of extreme violence. It’s only then that Vincent-N-Roxxy springs to visceral life. Pity that the bloody finale only makes up for the last third of what’s otherwise pretty dreary.
