Rigged tests mean diesel pollution levels are higher than thought. But is diesel that gross? And how will it affect you?The carmaker Volkswagen has been forced to confess that it falsified emissions tests run on its vehicle engines. It did so by employing special technology that only turned on during test conditions,and which artificially lowered the amount of pollutants produced from its diesel cars.
