This rain-soaked stronghold is the latest addition to the principality’s impressive roster of castles. But the fort wasn’t built by Norman marauders or English raiders. Ventris took just eight weeks to construct on the site of an venerable (respected because of age, distinguished) open cast coal mine and its builders were TV set designers.
