Appalachian Mountains as State Lines
The AT generally follows the ridges of the Appalachian Mountains. They also often are what relieve to form state lines. It isn’t always clear as to where you are whilst hiking as there aren’t any signs or markers until you reach roads. At the roads you would generally see a “Welcome To sign for either state.
