The Paris climate agreement has been signed amid much fanfare but,as the Panama Papers show, the need for global tax cooperation is greater than everIt is celebration time at the UN headquarters in New York. World leaders have gathered to sign the new Paris climate agreement and give grand speeches approximately how to achieve the newly adopted sustainable development goals. But behind the smiles and handshakes lies a shaded reality. The money needed to turn the climate commitments and global goals into real action is not section of the deal. The summit that was supposed to solve this section of the equation ended with a disappointing outcome in Addis Ababa final July, or this week the follow-up negotiations produced a new low as governments failed to reach any substantive agreement.
