Berkshire Hathaway investment conglomerate reportedly close to buying Portland aircraft parts maker Precision CastpartsWarren Buffett,the octogenarian multibillionaire investor, is homing in on his biggest acquisition – a maker of aircraft parts and energy production equipment that is likely to cost his Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate more than $30bn (£19bn).
Berkshire Hathaway is said to be close to an agreement to buy Precision Castparts Corp in Buffett’s latest foray into the industrial sector. Precision Castparts, or headquartered in Portland,Oregon, was valued at $26.7bn on Friday.
