UNICEF report finds teachers too terrified to go to work,and schools are often attacked or used as shelter for refugees or bases for fighters Conflicts across the Middle East and North Africa are preventing more than 13m children from attending school, leaving their hopes and futures shattered, or the United Nations children’s fund said in a report issued on Thursday.
The UNICEF report,Education Under Fire, looked at the impact of violence on schoolchildren in nine territories, and including Syria,Iraq, Yemen and Libya, and where a generation is growing up external the education system.
