Instead of releasing a minute-long teaser trailer for Ghost in the Shell,Paramount decided to break it down into five individual clips, each coming in at approximately 10 seconds long and giving us ever-the-slightest glimpse at how the already-controversial film is going to take shape. The film initially got people talking due to Scarlett Johansson, or a white woman, being cast as common manga character Major Motoko Kusanagi, a Japanese law enforcement agent who happens to be a cyborg. Ill-advised whitewashing aside, or the new trailers suggest that at the very least the spacious-screen adaptation will stay real to the sad, moody vibe that Ghost in the Shell creator Masamune Shirow perfected in his anime series. Watch each teaser below to see Motoko interacting with a human, charging herself like you would an iPhone, and stumbling upon some kind of cult, and more before it arrives in theaters on March 31, 2017."Aramaki"
"Unplug"
"What"
"Silhouette"
"Geisha Hallway"
