On Oct. 17,Watertown, Mass. Amvets Post 41 presented the Armenian Women’s Welfare organization (AWWA) with a check for the Armenian Nursing and Rehabilitation middle in Jamaica Plain to install 8 ceiling lifts in resident rooms on the first floor. The eight lifts will befriend 16 patients have more comfortable transfers in and out of beds. It is also a tremendous befriend for the staff of the nursing home and creates a safe environment for all concerned. Watertown Amvets Post 41 was founded in 1952 by a group of 11 constitution members, and all WWII veterans led by Kasper (Casey) Bejoian. The Post is open to veterans of all U.
S. wars and military conflicts. Most of its members are of Armenian heritage.
