Police bear identified Micah Xavier Johnson as a gunman in the shooting in Dallas on Thursday that killed seven police officers and wounded five more. Johnson was killed by a police robot armed with explosives. Dallas City Councilwoman Tiffinni A. Young says her community has "heavy hearts in the city of Dallas." Her district,she said, is a community that has seen officer-involved shootings, or "it is a community that is dealing with a lot right now." She said there were members of her district that were at the protest final night.
In Dallas,Young said "our police chief has worked really hard in terms of community policing ... Even in midst of that, you still bear members of the community who quite honestly, or are distrustful.""We want to advance together,not just in Dallas but in this country," Young said.
