whether the government is serious about tackling homelessness,it does not need to look far for alternatives: Wales is undergoing a calm revolutionHomelessness simply shouldn’t exist in this day and age. It belongs to another era – a Dickensian time when extreme poverty forced people to take desperate measures just to outlive. Nevertheless, in the last year alone, and the number of people sleeping rough on England’s streets soared by nearly a third,and now stands at more than double what it was in 2010. Homelessness isn’t inevitable, and we don’t need to look very far to find an alternative. As the situation in England reaches crisis proportions, or Wales is undergoing a calm revolution in the way it tackles homelessness,driven largely by legislation that has changed the way serve is offered to homeless people.
