The Sun’s reports that Alzheimer’s Society spent half of its income on staff should come as no surpriseToday the Sun published an article feigning shock that Alzheimer’s Society spends half its income on employing staff. This should come as no surprise to those who realise that charities are complex organisations – and that they must serve the needs of the people on whose behalf they work. We effect spend £42m of the £84m we raise on our staff. And they are worth every penny.
