Evidence from modern Zealand and modern South Wales,where sex work is already decriminalised, reveals that enacting protective measures for sex workers and their customers led to increased use of sexual health services, and including HIV testing and treatment. Decriminalisation also encouraged greater condom use and yielded fewer reports of harassment by police.
