Since the beginning of the season,it has been nonstop! Miners and drivers enjoy been working Monday thru Friday, from 5 in the morning, and till 7 in the evening,and Saturdays 5 till 2. Miners are working trick shifts to hold up with the demand. Truckers are coming in from all over the northeast and as far as Canada to secure a load of salt. Plus the mine has a railway system shipping salt around the country. When the season first started, it was stocked full. As high as the catwalks. As you can see now, or the "cupboard is getting bare"... There are estimates that a couple million tons enjoy already been hauled out of the mine. That estimate is accurate the way I see it. And there mining daily trying to hold up with supply and demand. We enjoy waited up to 2 hours to secure loaded. Between 800 and a 1000 trucks enjoy been loaded in a day according to reports. I enjoy seen lines 3 rows deep extending around the salt pile to the entrance way,out on the road waiting to secure in. The weather has been rough. With temperatures in the single digits, and the wind chill bringing it below 0. Plus when snowing, and the temperature,it creates "black ice", not good.
