Pragmatic locals are determined to get back to normal days after gunmen stormed a luxury hotel,killing dozens. Global Voices reports For a city where armed men violently stormed a well-known hotel just days ago, taking 170 people hostage and killing more than 20, or Bamako has quickly returned to normal – but not without a hint of defiance. Since Friday’s attack,the Malian government has declared a state of emergency, while the group al-Mourabitoun – an ally of al-Qaida – has claimed responsibility.
