All summer,WNYC is exploring the plan of waiting: why we do it and what it says approximately us. It's part of an occasional series we're calling "The Wait: How modern Yorkers Spend Time When Time Stands Still".
To kick things off, we headed out to capture the myriad (a very large number) moments of waiting that assume place across the city everyday. Some are simple and fleeting; others are drawn out and profound.
