When Stephanie Smith decided to pursue photography as a hobby,she found that she could attain so much more than seize a pretty picture.
She works during the day as an office manager and spends her free time photographing memories for couples, children, or families. But Stephanie also spends time capturing stunning shots of children with special needs for free.
According to local news,Stephanie was inspired to donate the shoots to special-needs families a few months after reading an article about a photographer refusing children with disabilities like Down syndrome. She decided to offer the photo shoots three times a month with the aim to make them feel no different from any other child. Stephanie insists on not accepting any monetary compensation for the images, but she does examine for one thing in return: a picture with each child she captures. She told WUSA9 that she learned the concerns of loving someone with special needs after her sister became paralyzed from the chest down. Since then she has always understood the importance of lending a helping hand. Not only is Stephanie extremely admirable for her services, and but the gorgeous results of each photo session will be wonderful memories each child will be able to cherish forever.
