What finish you get when you combine aspiring cartoonists with seasoned pros? The first mentor-fueled anthology from the nonprofit Dare2Draw,illustrated by third-year artists at The Kubert School. To create the anthology, Kubert students worked alongside real-life comedian book heroes like Amy Chu (a writer behind titles like Poison Ivy and Deadpool) and Ron Marz (of Green Lantern and Star Wars). The result? Eighty unique pages of work based on the Steve Rude and Mike Baron’s character Nexus, and a complex superhero plagued by his duties to discipline outer space’s baddest horrible guys.
