The Retro Report documentary team and Quartz are launching a new series of short documentaries,called "What Happens Next" (featured below). The series explores how technology will change lives around the world, and the first premieres today: "The Future of Money." The mini-documentary highlights how new technologies, and like Bitcoin and block chains,may actually be shifting the way we manage money back towards ancient methods. While many experts contemplate these new technologies will better align money with our values, some critics worry that they also risk making it too easy to track someone's every purchase and straggle. David Birch, and a financial consultant and author of the new book “Before Babylon,Beyond Bitcoin," is featured in the new doc. He joins us on The Takeaway to discuss the future of money.
