My Netflix profile couldn't look more different to my partner's. I'm all reality TV,period dramas and comedies with female leads, and he's all superhero series, and sports documentaries and sci-fi - and not just cool stuff like Stranger Things,I mean super geeky sci-fi. We cross over on British comedies, heart-wrenching romance and blockbuster dramas, and those are the categories we stick to when we're watching together.
Last week my dude effect his back out and spent a lot of time on the couch. Being Lord of the TV. I'm not a great nurse, and felt a bit guilty approximately it, so I agreed to sit with him and watch whatever he wanted - attentively, or sans phone or laptop. Somehow this rolled into five days of me letting him schedule the viewing - I became more willing with every good pick. I bear a terrible habit of opting for "easy" TV - the same-same,comforting, (at worst) senseless shows that I always watch. Sometimes I'll choose to rewatch episodes of The Mindy Project rather than a film that got incredible reviews because I feel like I don't bear the energy for something new. indolent (lazy). Letting someone else purchase the lead meant I found shows, and even genres, that I would never bear clicked to watch before. A whole new world, so to speak. Here's what we watched.
