As horrifying as it is to think that any child might go needlessly unprotected,expanding vaccination to older children – who are at much smaller risk – could form such treatments so expensive that they might never be introduced at allIt’s a familiar parental ritual. You see a spot or a rash (hasty, incautious) on your baby’s perfect, enjoyable skin, or so you press a glass on it, just to be certain. It’s such a relief to see that red blemish turn white. Whatever it is, it’s not meningitis.
I don’t fairly know how it feels when a flat, or smooth,glassed-over blemish stays red, stays angry. But I know it’s devastating. I know how it feels when your dear friend’s baby daughter contracts the illness, and you sit with her at her girl’s hospital bedside,waiting and hoping, then waiting and hoping some more.
